Tropical places in Maldives that will make you want to pack your bags immediately

If you’ve ever been to the Maldives, you know that it’s just as beautiful as it sounds. It’s one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and with good reason—its aquamarine water and pristine beaches are hard to come by anywhere else on earth. Although the Maldives may be an island chain in the Indian Ocean, its tropical climate makes it a year-round destination, which means you can visit at any time of year and still experience plenty of sunshine and fresh air!

Maafushi

There are a variety of restaurants on Maafushi as well as shops selling souvenirs, clothing and jewellery. There are also many water sports available such as snorkelling, diving, windsurfing and kite surfing which can be organized by the resorts or at one of the many beach shacks along the shoreline. A visit to Maafushi should not be missed for those looking for fun and relaxation!
Island hopping is common in Maldives with some guests enjoying a different island every day while others choose to spend several days on each island so they can properly explore it. Some popular islands include Soneva Fushi, Rangali Island and Kuredu Island where there are more water activities and facilities such as spa treatments than any other island in Maldives. Here guests can enjoy all kinds of pampering activities under blue skies surrounded by white sandy beaches all day long! Another popular choice for tropical relaxation is W Retreat & Spa Maldives, located just off North Malé Atoll’s capital, Vilamendhoo Island.

Hulhumale

Located just 30 minutes from the capital, Hulhumale is a new town with new things to explore. There are plenty of fun activities for you and your family including taking a joyride on the turtle boat (the only one of its kind in the country) or paddle boarding along the pristine white beaches with crystal-clear waters. At night, head over for some shisha under the stars at Chill Shack and enjoy live music. The best part? You can chill out here all day long! With so many things to do and see, it’s impossible not to fall in love with this island paradise.

Gulhi

The best thing about the Maldives is how easy it is to find a beautiful tropical destination. It’s not like other countries where there are only a few beaches, islands, or resorts. You can choose from any of the country’s 26 atolls and find one that suits you. These are some of my favorite places:
-Six Senses Laamu: This is one of the most popular resorts in the Maldives because it provides something for everyone. For example, if you’re looking for white sand beaches, Six Senses Laamu has them. If you’re looking for overwater bungalows, they have those too! The resort also has some great water sports activities and high quality dining options.

Guraidhoo

The best thing about Guraidhoo is its pristine beaches; they stretch endlessly into the horizon with turquoise water lapping at their edges. One of my favourite beaches is ‘Females Beach’ because it’s really quiet, which means I can enjoy total peace and solitude when I need time to think or just relax. It’s also near one of my favourite restaurants, ‘Laila’s Bistro’. In addition to an incredible menu, Laila’s has a fantastic view overlooking the beach! If you’re not interested in eating there but still want a panoramic view of Guraidhoo Island – stop by on a Friday night for dinner and drinks at Coconut Sunset Lounge. They have delicious Thai food (my personal recommendation is the green curry) as well as cocktails. You’ll feel like you’re partying under the stars!

Thulusdhoo

Maldivian locals call it the island of love because it is home to a beautiful lagoon and sandy beaches which are perfect for spending quality time with loved ones. The place is also famous for its natural beauty, with an abundance of coconut trees and other flora. Thulusdhoo is not too big so it’s easier to explore and get around. Renting a bike while exploring the island is a very popular activity among tourists. Visitors can also enjoy surfing, snorkeling, fishing and more as well as have some fresh seafood at one of the many restaurants on this heavenly island. It might be a little bit off-season right now but we recommend coming here during December when there are festivities celebrating Christmas. During this event, the island becomes even more lively than usual with several stalls selling souvenirs and food stalls set up near the pier.

Kuredhoo Island

One of the most popular islands in the Maldives, Kuredhoo Island offers a stunning white-sand beach and crystal blue waters. Luxury resorts are well known on the island. With two large lagoon pools, two outdoor bars, three restaurants, and even a game room—there’s something for everyone here. Kuredhoo Island is also home to some of the best snorkeling spots on this part of the Indian Ocean. There are a variety of water sports available including kayaking and catamaran sailing (among others) at an additional cost.

Fonimagoodhoo Island

Named after the mosque on the island, Fonimagoodhoo is a green, tranquil island with a population of just over 500. The island has great beaches and snorkeling opportunities and is home to a small resort hotel. You’ll have access to water sports, including sailing and windsurfing, while exploring the island or relaxing at the beach club. Bengal’s: A perfect place for those who want to spend their vacation doing as little as possible. Bengal’s consists of only three cottages on Biyadhoo Island, so there are no distractions like shopping malls or loud bars. Guests enjoy private beaches and boats available for fishing trips around the area. Shaviyani Atoll: The most developed tourist destination in the Maldives, Shaviyani Atoll offers high-end resorts along with a variety of restaurants, cafés, art galleries and shops for visitors to explore.
