If you’re an Australian kid, chances are you’ve been caught in the act of doing some pretty crazy things to get your hands on one of these things that most kids would sell their soul for. From toys and games to apps and gadgets, there’s nothing we wouldn’t do to have one of these cool pieces of tech at our disposal. We all have our vices, but sometimes, they can be quite costly! If only we could turn back time.

1) A Pet

Australian kids would sell their soul for a pet because it’s not every day that you see pets in the wild. Dogs and cats are common household pets, but it is rare to come across other animals like lizards or turtles.
Australian kids would sell their soul for a pet because they want to experience the unconditional love that pets provide. Pets are man’s best friend and kids love to share secrets with their furry friends.
Australian kids would sell their soul for a pet because they want to make sure they have someone who will be there when things get tough. Pets give you someone who loves you unconditionally and shows you how much they care through snuggles and kisses.

2) A New Bike

I would have sold my soul for a bike. My dad would bring it in the house and I would think I was so lucky to have such a cool dad. I’d be sitting on the couch watching TV, waiting for him to come home so he could take me out on his new bike, even though my old one still worked fine. We lived in a city that had some great spots to explore, there were alleys and backyards with interesting things you never knew about until you got off the beaten path. It was always fun to see what Dad had seen that day before we got home too – what sorts of people were walking down this street or how many different types of cars were parked along this curb.

3) To be Popular

Australian kids would sell their souls to be popular. In the 8th grade, it’s not cool to be smart, you’re cool if you know what time it is. If you don’t get invited to a birthday party in Australia, you might as well have sold your soul for all the fuss people make about it. They would also sell their souls for free popcorn at the movies or for a good spot on the bus. It can be hard work being an Aussie kid sometimes but when someone makes fun of them, they’ll just laugh and say I’m from New Zealand.

4) Good Grades

Good grades are the golden ticket to a future full of opportunity. However, life is never easy and it’s not uncommon for some kids to have a tough time in school. But what if we told you that there were ways to get good grades without sacrificing your soul? We’ve got 10 tips for getting A+ grades on every assignment without breaking a sweat. From how to study smarter to how to ace your exams with no studying at all, this list has everything you need!

5) To be Taller

I wish I was taller, or I had some sort of height-enhancing shoes, or a potion to give me an inch or two. A few inches would make such a difference in my life. It would mean being able to reach things on the top shelf without having to get out a chair and stand on it. It would mean not having my teacher look down at me while they talk because they’re standing up at their desk and I’m sitting down. It would mean not feeling like I have to shrink myself when I go into new places with people who are significantly taller than me. And it might even help me with my tennis game (although height isn’t everything).

6) To be Smarter

I’m sure many of you will agree that being smarter is one of the most desirable gifts a person can have. The ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge is an invaluable skill, and it’s something that every single person wants for themselves. So it’s not surprising that a lot of parents try to find ways to get their kids smarter. And there are some pretty common methods – schools, extracurricular activities, tutors and so on. But while they might be successful at making kids more knowledgeable, they don’t make them any smarter. In fact, if anything they’re just as stupid as before.

7) To be Rich

To be rich would be the best thing in the world. I would do anything to be rich, because when you are rich you never have to worry about anything and it is really nice. Plus, not only will you not have to worry about anything but you will also get everything that you want in life. To me, if someone was going to sell their soul for something, they should sell it for being rich because then they can buy a new soul and still have money left over from before!

8) To be Famous

Australian kids dream of being famous, and not just any fame. They want to be Hollywood royalty. They want to be the next big thing in the entertainment industry. And with social media, it’s easier than ever before for them to get their fifteen minutes of fame – or more! One girl we spoke to told us she wants 15 million followers on Instagram so she can have her own reality TV show. The others wanted a yacht, a villa in St Tropez, travel around Europe with their friends. But when pressed on what they would give up if it meant they could make these dreams come true? One said his iPhone, another said he’d give up school because he doesn’t like studying anyway. Another had no idea.
