Offset of the rap group Migos lost his brother, Takeoff, in an accident earlier this month, and his other half, Cardi B, has stepped up to comfort him in his time of mourning. Offset and Cardi B have one of the most intimate relationships we’ve seen in the public eye so far, so fans were shocked when they received no real information on how he was doing following his brother’s death. However, it looks like Cardi B might finally be opening up about his struggle with grief in an interview with Beats 1 on Apple Music this weekend.
1) She wants to be honest about how she’s feeling

Cardi B has shared with her fans some of the reasons she is opening up about the death of her husband, father and friend, Offset. In a recent Instagram post, Cardi thanked fans for all their love and support during this difficult time. She also wanted to let them know that sometimes she needs to be honest about how she’s feeling and what she is going through. She talked about how important it is for people who are grieving to talk about the loss with those around them so they can heal together.
I want you guys to know that I love and appreciate each and every one of y’all, she wrote on Instagram.
2) She wants to remember the good times

Cardi B has been opening up about her relationship with her husband, Offset, following the death of his Migos bandmate, Takeoff. The rapper and reality TV star shared a photo on Instagram of herself and him from this past summer. In the caption, she thanked him for being such a good father to their daughter Kulture. I love you so much, she wrote. We will never forget about takeoffs legacy. RIP my brother. Gone too soon. Too young, he tweeted at the time. The day before Takeoff died, they released new song I Can’t Lose You together in remembrance of his late friend; it was released on Wednesday night as well.
3) She wants people to know that it’s OK to grieve

The reason why I’m opening up about my personal life is because I want to show people that it’s OK to grieve. said Cardi. It doesn’t matter how much money you have or who you are, you need to deal with your feelings. You can’t just ignore them and expect them to go away.
Cardi B has been open about her struggles on Instagram for awhile, but she says she never expected the level of interest and outpouring of support following Offset’s suicide attempt and the death of his best friend and collaborator, Quavo’s son, Takeoff. I’ve been through so much shit in this world, she said on Instagram Live.
4) She wants to raise awareness about mental health

Cardi B has been open about her own mental health, but in an interview with Billboard she opened up about how her husband, Offset, is doing following the death of his friend and fellow rapper, Takeoff. In a touching and eloquent statement she said: The only thing I want people to know about him is that he is human. He’s not perfect. We have our problems just like every other couple. But what makes us stronger is that we communicate so well and we don’t hold grudges or resentment towards each other. The key to being married is having patience. You’re going to have moments where you’re mad at your partner and they’ll be mad at you too, but it’s always worth it in the end because we love each other so much. And I think anyone who doesn’t feel like they can be themselves around their spouse should reevaluate their relationship because there are people out there who will never love them as much as their spouse does.
5) She wants people to know that they’re not alone

Cardi B is opening up about how she’s doing following the death of her ex-boyfriend, Takeoff. I want to let you guys know that it’s not easy for me. It’s a lot. It might seem like I’m very strong and I don’t cry and I don’t scream, but inside I feel pain all the time. And when you lose somebody that you really love, it hurts, she said in an interview with Vogue magazine. She also wants people who are going through their own heartbreak to know they aren’t alone. You’re not alone. We go through the same thing because we go through the same thing because we’ve gone through it too, she explained.
Migos member Quavo thinks Cardi should be more open about what’s going on in her life: I just think sometimes when you have some things on your chest, you got to let them out, he said at a press conference for his new album Quavo Huncho. It seems like sometimes Cardi ain’t letting nobody know what goes on with her.
6) She wants to share her coping mechanisms

Cardi B has taken to social media to share her thoughts on her former fiancé and the father of her daughter, Offset. She does not want people to forget about him following the death of his friend and fellow rapper, Takeoff. She wants people to know that she is coping with this difficult time by talking about it. I’m really sad, she said on Instagram Live. I lost my best friend. When asked how he was doing, Cardi responded: I don’t know if you guys know what happened but his friend died in a car accident.
7) She wants to be an example for others

Cardi B opened up about her relationship with Offset following the death of his friend, rapper Takeoff. I’m not going to lie, it has been really hard for me too because I love him, she said on The Tonight Show. That man is my world. She went on to say that she’s been trying to be an example for others who are going through a hard time after someone they love dies. I have to show these other people that you can still live your life and make it through the pain, she said. It is not easy but you can do it.
