Pura Tanah Lot

Located on the island of Bali, Pura Tanah Lot is an enchanting temple overlooking the sea. The temple is known for its beauty and offers a place for people to relax and enjoy themselves.
The temple has been standing since the 14th century and is visited by many tourists every day. The temple sits in between two rocks at high tide which reflects off each other and makes Pura Tanah Lot even more beautiful. It is said that if you are able to go down into the water up to your waist, then you will be blessed with good luck for the next year. Many people take part in this ritual before entering the temple as well.

Mount Batur

Located in the island of Bali, Mount Batur is the second highest mountain in Indonesia. One can experience an adrenaline rush while driving through the scenic paved roads surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking views. The view is simply breathtaking with its deep blue waters, white sand beaches and green hillsides. There are many things you can do there such as hiking up to the top for stunning views from above or enjoying a more leisurely hike along the valley floor. You could also go on a horseback riding tour for three hours or explore one of the many waterfalls located on the mountain’s slopes.

Uluwatu Temple

Set in the village of Uluwatu, just 30 minutes from the airport, this experience is one you will never forget. Between watching the sunset and admiring the views from your private balcony, you’ll also have time for some relaxation on your own private beach. All in all it’s a great experience that offers relaxation and travel as well. It’s also conveniently located between Seminyak and Kuta which can be reached via motorcycle in 15-20 minutes. It’s something anyone who loves travel should do at least once!
The accommodation we stayed in was wonderful, clean and peaceful with our own chef available. There are plenty of different tours to take around the island as well if you don’t feel like exploring too much on your own. In addition, there are some amazing restaurants near by so make sure you get an adventurous stomach when coming here!

Tegallalang and Jatiluwih Rice Terraces

Located in the Gianyar regency, the Tegallalang and Jatiluwih rice terraces are accessible by public transportation. You can also rent a car or motorcycle, or book with your accommodation for a driver. We took public transportation, and it was an adventure in itself, with an hour long stop at the middle of nowhere while we waited for another bus to pick us up. The views were absolutely stunning from the different points along the way, especially when we reached our destination and could see both sides at once. It is important to remember that Tegallalang is about two hours away from Ubud where you will stay during your visit so make sure you plan accordingly!

Pura Ulun Danu Bratan

If you are on the search for a place where your troubles will seem minimal and your worries will be forgotten, look no further than Pura Ulun Danu Bratan. Situated in the middle of Lake Bratan and surrounded by mountains, this temple has become one of my all-time favorite places. I was lucky enough to visit during their annual Kecak dance event which is an enchanting experience. The ceremony consists of male dancers who perform while chanting ancient prayers and they are accompanied by the beat from large drums and cymbals. If you are looking for spiritual enlightenment or just an escape from reality, come to Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, it’s worth it!

Nusa Dua Beach

The sun was beating down on us, but the cool ocean breeze made the hot day bearable. There are many activities you can do in Nusa Dua Beach, such as parasailing, snorkeling, and swimming. We chose to relax by the beach and enjoy some snacks we bought from one of the many vendors on the beach. After that we went parasailing and had an incredible view of all that Bali has to offer. Our stay in Nusa Dua Beach was thoroughly pleasant!

Besakih Temple

Located in the village of Besakih, the temple is one of the most important on Bali. A short hike up a steep slope leads you to the entrance. The path is lined with rice fields and terraced steps carved into green hillsides that rise up like giant steps. Here, you will be greeted by an elderly woman who charges a small fee for entrance into the temple grounds. Once inside, there are no signs directing where to go but everyone knows where they are going and you’ll find yourself following along with other visitors as if it were instinctual.

Kuta Beach

Kuta Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island due to its wide, white sand and vibrant atmosphere. -While Kuta Beach is known for its nightlife, there are plenty of other things to do in the area. -Museums, markets and spas are easily accessible by bus or scooter.
-During low tide, walk out as far as you can go and be mesmerized by the fish that come up to greet you.
